Introduction

The Hurdel Manufacturing Simulation, is a total enterprise simulation that is intended to enhance strategic management and policy courses. Hurdel maintains an equilibrium of accounting, management, marketing, and financial decisions. A reasonably intricate simulation, it contains the vital foundations of business administration courses.

The Hurdel Manufacturing Simulation specifically was created for use in strategic management and policy courses. A dynamic and comprehensive tool, Hurdel teaches students to develop long-term objectives, and formulate and select strategic alternatives. Students make both short and long-term decisions, develop business models, and refine leadership skills.  In addition, students encounter simulated crises including union strikes, extraordinary losses, and ethical dilemmas.
